Getting your openAI api key

To get an OpenAI API key, you need to follow these 5 simple steps. OpenAI provides $5 of free credits to all new users.

1. Visit the OpenAI website and sign up for an account. If you don’t want to use your email address, you can use also use an existing Google or Microsoft account to create an OpenAI account.

1. To get an API Key, click on your name in the top-right corner to bring up a dropdown menu. Then, click the “View API keys” option.

2. If you need to create a new OpenAI API key, click Create new secret key. Give it a name, click create then copy the key. The key will only be shown once.

3. If you want to revoke your OpenAI API key, just click the trash can icon next to the API key you want to delete and click Revoke API to permanently disable it.

4. Configure your new openAI api key within the Profile page of SpicyChat.AI
